We champion collaborative action on the world’s most pressing challenges—public health, climate resilience, and peacebuilding—helping turn dialogue into solutions with global impact.
Guinea Worm Elimination
Through our long-standing partnership with The Carter Center, we support public health programs such as the Guinea Worm Eradication Program — one of the world’s great success stories in disease elimination.
Promoting Climate Cooperation
CUSEF continues to support dialogue and collaboration between the United States and China on climate change and sustainable development. Past initiatives have included expert discussions on prospects for bilateral cooperation on climate and clean energy, as well as youth-led dialogues, such as the Sino-American Youth Dialogue on Climate Change, which produced a joint call for cooperation on decarbonization and sustainable development later shared at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26).
World Development Forum
The World Development Forum (WDF) is an international dialogue platform with its inaugural event held on April 5, 2024, at the Memorial Church of Harvard University. The theme of the 2024 Forum is "The Inclusive Path for the Shared Future."
Supporting UN SDGs
Engagement with global institutions and leaders advances youth empowerment, cross-sector collaboration, and international cooperation aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participation in UN-linked forums helps elevate practical, collaborative responses to shared global challenges.
Supporting New York Pandemic Response
During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, CUSEF contributed $500,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline health workers in New York. The assistance benefited healthcare professionals and community organizations, including the Service Employees International Union, St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, and several civic groups serving local communities.
